HOW TO MAKE AN ADVENT CALENDAR WITH PRINTABLE FILES
All sellers in the list below provide their advent calendar designs on classic paper size PDF files: US Letter and A4. Hence, you can easily print any of these calendar at home printer. Otherwise, you can jump to the nearest printshop and let the specialists do this work for you.
In both cases it is good to understand what materials are better and what to do with all these printed calendar sheets to make them gift boxes.
What paper to use
Does not matter what advent calendar you will choose, it is going to be a part of your Christmas decor and has to bring joy to you and your children. So it is really important to pick the right materials for printing.
For solid and sturdy boxes your paper weight should be at least 32 lb / 120 g/m2. Thicker and more durable paper will give better results, but do not choose too heavy cardstocks, as your boxes can look awkward with them.
The optimal value of paper weight for printed gift boxes is in between 32 lb / 120 g/m2 and 110 lb / 200 g/m2.
IMPORTANT! Check your printer parameters! Most of the home printers are not designed for printing on really heavyweight paper.
